TULSA, OKLAHOMA – Dr. Scott of Kingdom Vision Ministries International shares his story – one not just of ministry, but of miraculous transformation and unwavering pursuit of Jesus Christ. His life’s journey is a testimony to God’s grace, the healing power of the Word, and the possibility of new beginnings at every stage of life.

Dr. H. Scott Stimson, founder, apostle, and prophet of Kingdom Vision Ministries International, is humbly sharing the love of Jesus Christ in various parts of the earth. With over 40 years of experience, his ministry continues to have national and international impact, going beyond the borders of the USA, and extending into Central America, South America, Mexico, Haiti, Canada, Philippines, Africa, and more. God has used him in the areas of healing, teaching, singing, the apostolic, and prophetic among the nations.

A Calling From Childhood

Dr. Scott was born in Muskogee as the youngest of six, in the northeastern part of Oklahoma, a blessed state rich with great ministries, such as T.L. Osborn, Kenneth Hagin, Oral Roberts. It was also a place where Kathryn Kuhlman spent a lot of her time. Dr. Scott’s encounter with the presence of the Holy Spirit began at the tender age of eight through his gift of singing. Raised as the son of a preacher, sometimes referred to as “Scotty,” he was already familiar with church life and spiritual matters.

“I was actually singing Beatles songs, because I sung them through school. They had me come to all the classrooms. People would stop me in the street, they paid me money to sing Beatles songs,” Dr. Scott shared. “So, everybody knew I could sing, but they didn’t know I could sing gospel or Christian music.”

But it was during a children’s ministry session that the call upon his life became undeniable. As he sang “Reach Out and Touch the Lord,” God’s power fell upon the room, marking his first divine encounter.

“They actually let out the adult church, and they came over and joined in with us,” said Dr. Scott. “Nobody could move. God just took over the service. I started wanting to know more about Him.”

Even at this young age, spiritual mentors recognized the gift and calling on his life, prophesying that God would use him in mighty ways.

“I just had the touch of God upon me,” Dr. Scott humbly stated. “I had a local pastor there, that he was actually a bus driver for the school. He said, ‘the hand of God is upon Scotty and God’s going to use him in a great way.’”

Wandering and Return

Like many, Dr. Scott’s journey wasn’t without detours. His teenage years were marked by a search for identity, even leading him away from the foundations laid in his childhood.

“I had really wandered away from the things of God,” said Dr. Scott.

He joined the military at the age of 17 and would remain there for 18 months.

The pivotal turning point came at age twenty following the passing of his father, a moment God used for incredible breakthrough.

“My father had gotten up in the middle of the night, and he said he was celebrating. My brother said, ‘What are you celebrating?’ He said, ‘I’m celebrating because the Lord’s been good to us. And then he went and laid down and went on to glory. He died.”

Dr. Scott found out the next morning, after he received a call informing him that something was wrong with his dad. They believed he had died and that he needed to come over.

“So, when I went over there, he was gone. I had heard the Lord give me an old song that sang ‘Let that circle be unbroken.’ So, I knew God was dealing with me. To make a long story short, that night, I laid on the bed at eleven o’clock at night, and I said, ‘Lord for twenty years I’ve tried to live for You, and it hasn’t worked. So, from now on, if You can do anything with my life, go ahead and do it. If I fail, it’s not going to be my fault, from now, it’ll be Yours.’ And apparently He liked that.”

In a humble act of surrender, Dr. Scott offered his brokenness to God. Through an extended encounter with God’s presence, he experienced hours of supernatural deliverance.

“The only thing I could say is, ‘The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want’ in Psalms 23. The power of God would come over me, and God delivered me for four hours.”

The next day, his thirst for the Word was so consuming that even a children’s Bible from Walmart would suffice to renew his journey into scripture and faith.

“I didn’t have a bible in my home; I went to Walmart actually and got a little girls Easter bible with a chain on it. I wanted to start getting into the Word. I went to my mom, and I said, ‘I believe God’s called me to preach.’”

That’s when his journey into his calling began. Then, in 1985, the momentum of God’s call in his life increased, when he received a prophetic word saying, God was sending him to be a prophet to the people.

“After that, I began prophesying a lot more to the Body of Christ. It wasn’t the first time I prophesied, but I began to move prophetically in being sent to the Body of Christ as a prophet. That’s how I was known. A lot of people still refer to me as Prophet Scott.”

Freedom Through the Word

Early in life, at seven years of age, a misplaced fear from a babysitter reading Revelation to him sowed the seeds of anxiety.

“She was a very sweet girl,” shared Dr. Scott. “She wanted to read to me the Bible, but what she read to me was the Book of Revelation. She read to me about all the locusts coming out of the pit and they’re going to sting for five months. When she read that I thought I was going to get stung by a scorpion for five months, so I had this root of fear that was able to grow in me.”

Yet as Dr. Scott grew in faith and understanding, the Word transformed from a source of dread to a wellspring of freedom. He came to realize that any gospel rooted in fear was misrepresenting Christ. Instead, the true revelation – especially of Jesus in all scripture – brought liberation, not condemnation.

His passion became the study and proclamation of the Word. Gifted with remarkable recall, Dr. Scott delved deeply, not for performance, but for transformation. He emphasizes: “If the words bring us fear, guilt, shame, and condemnation, something’s wrong with it. It’s not revealing Christ…”

His discovery of this undeniable freedom in Christ now serves as a foundation within his ministry. His decades of teaching (sometimes forty hours on a single book like Revelation), both in person and now via YouTube and Zoom, reflect his mission to reveal the Living Christ on every page of the Bible. His in-depth teachings also cover “The Gifts of the Holy Spirit” and “The Tabernacle of Moses.”

The Appointed Journey to Africa

Dr. Scott was also a friend of the late-Prophet Richard Fletcher, a legendary servant of God, spiritual advisor to more than 60 nations, and pastor of Christ Resurrection Ministries. They met in 1991.

In honor of the late-Prophet Richard Fletcher, Dr. Scott started Fletcher Homes for Orphan Children, located in Bungoma, Kenya, E. Africa. Before Prophet Richard’s passing, Dr. Scott prophesied to his friend, that he (Prophet Richard) would travel to Africa.

“The first time we met was through a mutual friend, then he invited me to preach for him. The orphanage actually started later,” Dr. Scott shared. “It was a way to honor him after his death, to put it in his name. We connected long before that, I actually prophesied him going to Africa before he ever went.”

In addition to the prophecy, Dr. Scott explained that God gave him a vision about himself (meaning Dr. Scott) going to Africa as well. This phenomenal vision happened three weeks before the appointed time of Dr. Scott receiving an invitation letter to minister in Africa. Here are the details of the vision as explained by Dr. Scott:

Dr. Scott Stimson’s Vision of Travels to Africa

“I was taken in a vision to Africa. I walked down a dirt road with someone who I didn’t know. We walked into a little house. I saw a young man I had never seen before, and I ministered to him prophetically. Then the vision ended. I was on my face praying, and the Lord spoke to me and said, ‘you will be going to Africa.’ Three weeks later I received a letter in the mail from Northern Nigeria with a picture paper clipped to it.

It was the man I had seen in the vision. The letter was saying, ‘God said your heart had been prepared to come to Africa.’ Nine months later, myself and three others, went to the Islamic zoned area in the North. We found out they had been killing all missionaries that came there. We did get harassed, but God protected us. We were there for 16 days. They said during our 6-night crusade (and we have no way to verify it) that 4,500 gave their heart to Jesus, 2,800 testified to being healed by the power of God! We were able to buy land and pay for a building to hold 2,000 people.”

Dr. Scott Stimson

Dr. Scott & Prophet Richard journeyed side by side in ministry, their bond was unmistakably ordained by God. In Africa, they witnessed a great harvest: thousands coming to Christ, with many experiencing healing and deliverance.

The dynamic supernatural power of God was obviously in operation while in Africa! This would be a taste of many more miracles that would take place in ministry. Click the buttons below to behold Dr. Scott’s Archive of documented miracles of God that he has witnessed within his ministry thus far.

Prophetic Ministry and Kingdom Vision

Prophetically, Dr. Scott has ministered to tens of thousands, with testimony confirming the accuracy and edification of his words. In 2020, the establishment of Kingdom Vision Ministries International during the COVID-19 pandemic marked a new era, where technology became a bridge for teaching believers worldwide. His message is clear: it’s time not just to seek, but to see the Kingdom. The mission is to demonstrate the real Jesus – not merely through sermons but daily life, bringing faith, hope, and supernatural love to the world.

Overcoming Hardship and Encouraging Others

Dr. Scott’s testimony is also shaped by hardship and personal sacrifice. Ministry meant missing time with family and facing the heartbreak of failure. Yet, in each valley, God’s sustaining hand brought restoration. His advice for others is practical and full of compassion: don’t rush the process, wait for God’s timing, and resist the urge to become a victim of circumstances. Above all, run to Christ, refusing the condemnation the enemy tries to attach to failures, and embrace God’s inexhaustible grace.

The Hope for Nations

Looking beyond personal ministry, Dr. Scott emphasizes the role of believers in healing a divided nation. He recognizes America’s divisions but insists that the Body of Christ, as God’s “holy nation,” carries healing power. The love of Jesus, lived and demonstrated, is the “medicine” for our world – transcending political and denominational lines.

A Life That Points to Jesus

Dr. Scott’s story inspires all who hear it: transformation is possible, fear can be broken, and the living Christ can be known intimately through His Word and Spirit. The mission is not simply doctrinal correctness but living demonstrations of Christ’s love and victory. Dr. Scott’s continuous journey shows us that it’s never too early or too late to respond to God’s call, and that the greatest blessing is to make Jesus known – not just in word, but in life.

Truly this was an astonishing testimony, and well written about his upbringing to what God has called him to be. It’s also crazy cool how you managed to get the actual photos of the Bible that he had so long ago. Yet again, amazing work.
