Apostle Margelee Hylton-Benjamin, Sr. Pastor & Founder of True Worshipers Global Worship Center (TWGWC), a non-denominational Christian ministry, and Founder/President/CEO of Glory Explosion, Inc. a worldwide conference, is realigning the nations back into a place of order by teaching the protocols of worship. She is impacting nations, raising up courageous leaders, mothering ministries worldwide, encouraging the broken, and uplifting the rejected back into position as she emphasizes the importance of worshiping the Father in Spirit and in Truth.

God has used Apostle Margelee Hylton-Benjamin in wondrous ways to change the lives of people, ministries, organizations, and nations. She is a carrier of God’s glorious presence, which connects with her revelational insight, governmental intercession, sharp prophetic anointing, and targeted words of knowledge. She has caused multitudes to move from a place of complacency and unawareness of the Kingdom protocols of heaven into a place of true worship within the earth. This entails intimacy with God, knowing their worth in God, and their Kingdom purpose. The Lord uses her in unique ways to show God’s people that there is a more excellent way in their walk with Christ and within their life of worship.

God tasked her with this incredible mission through ministry and a unique conference to restore holy order and re-establish true worship in the Body of Christ. Through this, God is making way for His Glory to be released within the earth.

The Birth of Apostle Margelee Hylton-Benjamin and the Earthquake

Apostle Margelee Hylton-Benjamin was born at home as the youngest of three children, with two older brothers, on March 1, 1957, in Saint Jago Dela Vega, Spanish Town, Jamaica to two strong parents of faith. As she cried out during her birth at the slap of the mid-wife, there was an earthquake in Jamaica, ranking eight on the Richter scale, that happened at the same time. The 1957 earthquake caused four deaths, damage to homes, schools, water mains, light poles, roads, bridges, and buildings. According to reports from the University of the West Indies, this also included extensive damage to churches such as the “St. James Parish Church, Holy Trinity Church, St. Paul’s Kirk & Burchell Baptist Church, and churches in Montego Bay.”

History behind the March 1, 1957 Earthquake

The 1957 earthquake signified Apostle Margelee’s mandate to shake the earth with her voice and the call of worship. Both of her parents were strong disciplined believers. Her father Herman Theophilus Ellis, a man of honor and integrity, and her mother Icilda Tracey-Ellis, a simple country girl known for her phenomenal beauty and great confidence, reared their three children up as Baptists.

They were known in the community for their prestige and generosity. They raised her and her brothers up with strict discipline and were extremely protective of their daughter. With the nickname “Apple,” she was known for her quietness, intelligence, orderly conduct, height, and big eyes.

She completed her education at St. Catherine High School, a Catholic school, and graduated with distinction in English and Biology. By the age of 18, she got married to a well-known cricket player named Tony Hylton and moved out of the house. Together they had a baby boy in the late 70’s. By 1980, they moved to Dallas, TX to escape the political conflicts that occurred within the island.

In the early 80’s, she got pregnant again with a girl. This pregnancy caused Apostle Margelee to lose sight in one eye. She and her husband were advised by the doctors to abort the child due to possible birth defects and health complications. Despite the report of the doctor, they decided to have the baby. By the hand of God, the baby was born healthy and strong.

The Spiritual Birth of Apostle Margelee Hylton-Benjamin

As time progressed, she continued to live life unsaved, until one day she was asked to attend a church service. In 1991, after a long period of procrastination, she finally accepted the invitation and attended the evening service. This would be the moment and the year she received salvation and her healing. As the pastor prayed within the service, the Lord supernaturally healed her eyes, without the pastor laying hands on her. Out of fright and disbelief, she ran through the emergency exit to amazingly discover that her healing was real. This caused her to worship right there on the outside of the church in the night, just her and God alone.

This was the exact point that True Worship was imparted within her, and the beginning of her intimate walk with God.

The Birthing of True Worshipers – A Ministry Based on Worshiping the Father in Spirit and in Truth

Apostle Margelee’s spiritual journey began in 1999 after her spiritual mother Pastor Ellis, a general of God, told her it was time to step out and begin to preach. This all took place after years of being discipled and trained under her spiritual mother/mentor and the teachings of various pastors, including Pastor Richard Fletcher and Pastor James Turknett. She was in shock and a bit hesitant to start preaching, but God equipped her with the anointing to do it. From that point, she never looked back.

When God called her to start the ministry, He named it True Worshipers, which was birthed in Carrollton, TX. It was inspired by the story about Jesus and the Samaritan Woman at the well.

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is Spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth” (John 4:23-24).

God gave her specific instructions about worship and the importance of getting into the secret place with Him. The key points that God shared with her is now what she is sharing at TWGWC and with the world.

“The Lord called me to embark on this odyssey of a one-on-one relationship with Him. He took me to the corridors of heaven on this secret odyssey for a long time. When He decided to actually thrust me into the zone that was unknown to me (and that is the public), He gave me specific instructions to not only teach, but to demonstrate what He is wanting to do with His worshipers: how to worship, the protocols of worship, and the importance of getting into the secret place with Him.”

True Worshipers first began as a house ministry bible study starting in the garage, then to her living room. Many would come from various cities to worship and hear the teachings of the Word of God. All nations were represented; they all came with one purpose, which was to give their gift of worship to the King of Kings.

The ministry later moved to a building in Carrollton, then Dallas, and later Farmers Branch, which eventually made its way back to Carrollton. The more the ministry’s reach expanded spiritually from local to global, is the more the ministry’s name evolved. It went from True Worshipers Ministries to True Worshipers Global Worship Center.

As she said yes to the call of ministry, the Lord began to build upon it, first starting with her. She would worship God in any place unashamedly and at any time in addition to the house meetings. She would worship in her car. She would worship after work. She would worship God in the night until the early hours of the next morning. Sometimes not sleeping at all. She would return to work, without feeling drowsy. The Lord would supernaturally revive and refresh her after being in His Presence.

Time was not a concern for her as she was cocooned in God’s Presence during worship. She realized that in His Presence, through one-on-one relationship and intimacy, God would supernaturally equip her with everything she needed. The Lord used her worship experiences in His Presence as a foundational marker for the ministry, which became the very anthem of TWGWC.

“True Worshipers Global Worship Center is a safe haven where people can worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth,” Apostle Margelee confidently stated. “We are not ashamed to show who we are, and to showcase the God that has called us to worship Him.”

Apostle Margelee makes it a point to allow the Holy Spirit to have His way. She places no limits on God by allowing each service to be in His control. This allows the people of God to love Him as their heart desires without time restraints.

“As we come together, it is not a matter of set time. We know when we start but we don’t know when we will finish. There is no set agenda, but we just come and give God our all,” shared Apostle Margelee. “We raise up worshipers with the protocols that has been instilled within us which is total liberty… total freedom.”

As the Worshipers gather to give God their very best offering through worship, the Lord has given Apostle Margelee another task to incorporate as key factors.

“The Lord has us pull on three different areas He wants us to emphasize. That is the Word, Worship, and Prayer,” stated Apostle Margelee Hylton-Benjamin.

All of these go hand and hand together, which makes up the whole worship experience. The Worship is giving worth to the King of Kings. The Word brings understanding to whom the worship belongs. The Prayer is to maintain a relationship with the King of Kings. With all this in mind, she makes it clear that it all boils down to the King and what He wants from His worshipers.

“If He wants us to dance, worship, sing, and to be immersed in His Presence, moving from the outer court, to the inner court, and into the Holy of Holies, we understand it is a trek. We understand that every odyssey and every journey there is not just one thing. It is always fresh, there is no agenda but the agenda of being in the Presence of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.”

The set-up of True Worshipers contains one main color that cannot be ignored. The walls, the banners, the logo, the altar, the lighting, the chairs, the flowers, and even the very pillow that the crown rests upon contains this one color which is…purple.

When asked the question behind the purple, Apostle Margelee responded with the following words:

“Purple was my least favorite color, but after having my encounter with God, He has placed in me this innate desire for purple. Purple became the most beautiful color. It is the color of royalty. That is what it’s all about, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Making Him the center, and yearning to be in His majestic Presence. As we know, everything in heaven is beautiful and purple is one of them,” Apostle Margelee Hylton-Benjamin.

The Birthing of Glory Explosion – A Mission to Bring The Worshipers Together Across the Globe

In 2007, God called her up higher. He gave Apostle Margelee a global mandate to bring the nations together through worship that would make way for His Glory. This came through a worldwide annual conference that He first birthed within her heart known as Glory Explosion. Apostle quickly shared the mandate of Glory Explosion as it pertains to the worshipers of the earth.

“The Lord had given me this mandate to actually bring together worshipers from every color, every creed, every nationality, coming together. It doesn’t matter what culture you’re from. It’s about coming together as one, to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. That in itself will bring forth the Glory. When the Glory comes we see the signs, miracles, we see the healings. It is not man, man is not factored in the equation. He comes in and He’s the One who touches the people. It’s all about Him and He showcases Himself. This is what Glory Explosion is about, we gather together to worship Him, and this brings forth His Presence.”

Glory Explosion first began with God giving Apostle Margelee Hylton-Benjamin a dream in 2007.

“I had a dream where I saw the globe. On the globe were little dots and little lights all over the globe,” Apostle Margelee shared. “For every light, I saw a beam shooting up to the apex of the earth and all the beams came together as one. As they came together in a triangle, I saw an explosion taking place.”

As she saw this vision, it struck her curiosity. So she asked the Lord what the lights meant, and in return, God responded.

“He said, as far as the lights are concerned, ‘I am raising up sleeper cells. For every one of those dots/lights, these are small gatherings across the globe. A time will come in the future where everyone will come as one. Those are the lights that came together. Those lights are equivalent to each House of God. As they come together that’s the explosion that will take place,’” shared Apostle Margelee.

She began to seek God and pray. She shared this task with TWGWC members, who were excited to begin. With careful planning, they began to prepare for this massive mandate to hold this conference. As a church, they fasted, prayed, and sowed into the mission. By 2008, the first Glory Explosion launched and was held at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, TX. It was a success! So many people showed up! People from various cities within Texas attended. Many people, including ministries of many members, came in from out of state by car, bus, and plane. It was so packed that the Fire Department got involved. Lives were changed and transformed. People were set free and healed. Most of all, people were able to have a glorious worship experience with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

As years went on, Glory Explosion continued to grow, going from city to city, and state to state, within the U.S. It made a lasting impact in the lives of many people and ministries because God was placed back in the center through true worship.

Glory Explosion guest speakers have included: Dr. Cindy Trimm, Dr. Tommy Tenney, Dr. Sam Hinn, Dr. Ana Mendez Ferrell, Dr. David Herzog, Dr. Lucy, Dr. Barbie Breathitt, Pastor Bob Sorge, Apostle Al Miller, John Eckhardt, Barbara Yoder, Rabbi Yisrael Ben Avraham, Bishop Joseph Garlington, Bob Sorge, Lamar Boschman and more. She has also included worship leaders such as Terry MacAlmon, Psalmist Jimmy Black, Tirshatha, David & Nicole Binion, and Melessa Ann Brown, just to name a few.

By 2017, it was taken to distant lands, including the place of her birth…sweet, sweet Jamaica. This particular conference was titled Glory Explosion Jamaica Summit 2017.

God made it clear that Glory Explosion is not the average conference, it goes way beyond, which can be found below:

“Glory Explosion is not just a conference, it is a life altering experience. Presented by True Worshipers, Glory Explosion is a manifestation of God’s power.”

Apostle Margelee also explained the Glory being the actual manifest Presence of God, which is His Glory. She wants the world to know that God wants to show Himself as being strong unto His people, and within the church.

She is making it her mission to make Him center stage, and the center focus within the earth. As directed by God, Apostle Margelee made it her duty to design the set-up of Glory Explosion with this same concept…making God the center. She based it from Revelation 4, which is the Throne in Heaven.

The Glory Explosion stage design includes the lion, the lamb, a staircase, 24 crowns, iridescent material, a golden key, an alabaster lamp, and more. The items are placed in the center of the Glory Explosion stage, with the worship band on one side, and the speaker’s podium on the other side. All of this simply reflects the symbolism of God being in the center of the conference and within the hearts of mankind.

Apostle Margelee Shares Her Perspective on Revival as it Pertains to Worship

As God is placed back in the center within the hearts of man and within the churches, she believes something greater will happen in the earth at His appointed time.

“There is coming a time when the Lord Himself, will cause a revival like we’ve never seen here in the earth realm. This is like the third awakening that God is planning on the earth realm. So right now, He is preparing these houses of worship, these houses where people are true. People whose hearts are turned to Him, where purity, righteousness, and holiness is sounded. There is no hypocrisy in our worship.”

Right now, a global revival is on the horizon. She believes that God is calling His people to stir the fire of revival. She wants the people of God to have an understanding of how God designed the church, which is the Bride He is looking for. She believes that this is the time that God is restoring the church. Even when the enemy seems like he is turning the hearts of the people away from God and the true church, she knows that this is the time when God can and will be glorified within the earth and among the people.

“It may seem so dark right now for the church, but it is the perfect set up. It is not that the enemy is winning. It is that He is designing that His true Bride will come forth, because in the darkest of the dark, that’s when His Glory will shine brighter than anything else. We’ve got to rejoice right now and not be focused on what we see. Because what we see is not really what’s happening in the realm of the Spirit. God is about to break out, breakthrough, and break loose through His worshipers. Not to be entertained and not to entertain, but to actually make a one-on-one connection with His Spirit.”

She wants God’s people to know that revival is for those who are willing to give their lives completely to the Lord. If we live a life that is acceptable to Him, which is true to God through worship, we can never go wrong. We are setting ourselves up to be counted among this end-time move of God.

“When we become worship, than you are prepared. True Worshipers are set apart people who are devoted to live a life that is pure, holy, and righteous in the sight of God. That is all that God is looking for.”

Apostle Margelee has been honored in many ways, through an Apostle Appreciation Dinner organized by TWGWC members. She was recently nominated in governmental places, such as the President’s Volunteer Service Award. No matter how high God takes her, she stays grounded. She always remembers to give 100% of the accolades back to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

God continues to shine His light in and through Apostle Margelee Hylton-Benjamin as a trailblazer within the earth, His Kingdom Ambassador, and a General of God. Wherever she goes and however God uses her within His Kingdom, it all goes back to the main mission of making God the center through True Worship!
