We are in the Ten Days of Awe, which started with Rosh Hashanah and will end with Yom Kippur; it is the season of repentance. It is also known as the Ten Days of Repentance. It began the evening of September 22, 2025, and will end October 2, 2025 (1-10 Tishrei 5786).

Ten means “responsibility.” It is our responsibility to search within and get things right with others and with God. This is also the season of forgiveness and mercies of God. During this time, relationships are being restored, refreshed, and renewed if you so desire through the powerful posture of the heart of repentance.

This is also a time when we draw close to God to the place of passionate love for Him. As we draw near, He hears our prayers and cries. Then He answers through His guidance, hope, and healing.

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8).

It is a time where we are able to realign and restart our walk with Him. It is also where we restart our loving relationship with others. It is the time of reset in our mission for Him.

This is God’s appointed reminder to be in awe of our Awesome God once again. This selected season is God’s gentle nudge to us, telling us that our sense of awe for Him is due for an awakening. Arise! It is time to be in position to get back on course for the greater purpose that He set within us and before us. All this will happen for the benefit of His Kingdom, while maintaining the awe-factor we have for Him.

As we do this, we pray for God to seal the healing and forgiveness on the Day of Atonement. We become one again (“at-one” in representation of the Day of At-one-ment) with Him, realizing how everything began with Him, where we take ourselves out of the picture and become selfless as we serve Him and others…it is our responsibility. All of this is done through the help of the Holy Spirit.

The Ten Days of Awe will be concluded with Yom Kippur, “The Day of Atonement.” Yom Kippur starts at sundown on Wednesday, October 1, and ends at nightfall on Thursday, October 2.

Yom Kippur is referenced in Leviticus 23:26-32 and is considered to be the holiest day of the year. It is in recognition of the prophetic event of the return of the Messiah, and the Day of Judgment where the Lord evaluates us and decides if our name will be written in the Book of Life (Rev 20:12). It also symbolizes that Israel will one day be gathered back to the Messiah.

May this time of repentance and return, bring us all to a place of Awe of our Holy God again. Some may consider the celebration of the Jewish feasts and holidays as religious and ritualistic. On the contrary, it is highly recommended to observe them to serve as a reminder of Yeshua and to bring us to the attention of what He is saying in regard to the preparation of the Bride of Christ. God speaks to us through the symbolism of these feasts as it parallels with the remembrance of Yeshua as well as the prophetic events of Yeshua that are yet to come.

We must live a life of repentance, obedience, and selflessness to serve others as we serve Him through a maintained relationship. This is where we are not placed on display, but God alone is exalted. Humility is essential in our spiritual walk with Him. He was the humblest of all, and He desires us to follow.

May holy reverence and awe of our Sovereign and Holy God be restored to the Body of Christ. May we rededicate our vessels as individuals and then collectively as His church. As Holy reverence is restored…we shall be cleansed, refreshed, and made new with our Holy God through the powerful cleansing of His blood and through His Word.

This takes place as we are humbled and brought closer to Him by placing Him back in the center of everything through our life of repentance. Not just for the celebration of the holiday. But also through our daily walk with Yeshua, in observance & remembrance of what He has done for us, and what He continues to do for us.

May these Ten Days of Awe bring us all to a new place in God as we take responsibility to humble ourselves, seek His face, pray, and repent.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

(2 Chronicles 7:14)

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” (Acts 3:19).
