The Journey & Background

Prophet Gaetano Castellino, founder of Capo for Christ aka True Witness Ministries, who also goes by Prophet G, was not always a Man of God. Even so, his testimony clearly demonstrates that God’s Mighty Hand was always upon his life since his entry into this world at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Hollywood, California. The hospital’s name “Cedar Sinai” by which this man of God was birthed was not by mistake; it was a divine appointment.

Biblically, “Cedar” represents strength, divine favor, and durability. Mount “Sinai,” as we know, was the appointed place where God revealed Himself to Moses! Regardless of the enemy’s tactics to tug at his soul with efforts to prematurely rob him of his God-ordained call and destiny, the enemy would not win! A desperate cry from Gaetano would cause God to reveal Himself as the Victorious Chain breaker, to shatter the evil ties of demonic influences. God would be his strength, even when it was unbeknownst to Gaetano. He would arise with strength like the “Cedars” of Lebanon at God’s appointed time, through a revelatory encounter with the Almighty that would change his life for the better forever.

Gaetano was born into a Sicilian Royalty that held to the Code of Omerta, a secret code of silence practiced by organizations of crime, such as Southern Italy and Mafia groups. Both sides of his family practice this code. He grew up in Calabasas, California.

“The house that we lived in in Calabasas was on a private road called “Mourning Dove Way,” shares Prophet Gaetano.

The “Dove” within the “Mourning Dove Way” street sign would be the subtle sign of God’s Presence ensuring that the Spirit of the Lord was with him, and would light his way through the darkness, even when he did not recognize it. His father immigrated to the U.S. in 1958 at the bequest of his elder brother in Brooklyn, NY, not speaking a word of English. His father and other relatives had high aspirations for Gaetano. They tried everything they could to keep him from the criminal life. Despite their preventive efforts, certain generational curses, likened to being the “bad seed,” still operated heavily as a stubborn stronghold. It seemed like things were getting dim.

“I was a very rotten child, like I was inherently bad. First time I ever pulled a gun on someone, I was 11 years old. On the West Coast, I had gotten involved with gangs and I had gotten in some trouble at the age of 14.”

As time progressed and Gaetano grew older into his teens, he began to dive into the street life even more. Since the age of four, his family would go back and forth from California to Las Vegas. According to Gaetano, the mafia was heavily present in Las Vegas during the 80’s, so he grew up around people who ran the city. He knew everyone there, and they knew him for his reputation.

As a teenager he started boxing, became physically fit, and became schooled in things that he should not have been involved in, that caused him to run into some trouble in Las Vegas. With that being said, his parents wanted him to move to New York. They figured the family influence there would keep him on the straight path.

The Mafia, Drugs, Violence, and Criminal Activity

By the age of 16, he moved to the east coast of the United States, settling down in the state of New York. This shift in locations would introduce a whole new world of violence and take him deeper into all things negative, that deeply rooted him in the Mafia. The very life that his family tried to keep him from, was the very life that he began to submerge himself into to – the highest degree.

“I started dealing drugs, dealing with marijuana at first, and started selling cocaine. That’s how I blew up, like I did very well with it. I was making so much money…kicking up percentages like I was supposed to,” stated Gaetano. “I was on a crew in Brooklyn, but I was operating in Buffalo and that side work is what I would do wherever and whenever. I had to deal with a cartel for six months, eight months, and I got to work out $100,000 deals with them every week. I loved the life. I thrived off of it. I became a millionaire quickly.”

Gaetano rose through the ranks in the Mafia to a Middle Management Position with the “Button” of Capo by the age of 24. They gave him what was considered as the highest honor, making him a captain with his own official crew. He also received a percentage of a billion dollar grocery chain on the East Coast as a gift for climbing the ranks. The way of communication was through the Code of Omerta.

“The way we worked in those days, everything would be coded…and that’s how basically I would get my information, and who was who, and what was what, and what I had to do. I traveled for a lot of years doing that kind of work,” Gaetano shares. “The demonic influence got to a point where I literally wasn’t happy, unless I was hurting somebody or doing worse to them. By this time, I had racked up a lot of money. I was in and out of prison, and then just doing bids and just commanded respect.”

Anything from Drug Trafficking, Violence, and any Criminal Activity one could think of, he was not only a part of, but leading men in this demonic lifestyle that required Blood Covenants. Anyone who crossed paths with him at this point…was in for a dark experience.

“If anybody had an encounter with me, they would be much worse because of it. And it became something not that I was trying to hurt everybody, because I wasn’t. But no encounter with me at that time was a good encounter,” Gaetano explained. “I actually started to believe that I was the devil, like I literally believed this for a good six months.”

With all things at his fingertips, money coming in, having influence, people fearing him…one would think he was confidently positioned. But in reality, this life was eating away at him. He was not satisfied. With the outward appearance of authoritative strength, inwardly, he was breaking. He needed an urgent change. This lifestyle became a heavy burden, and he wanted escape.

“They were afraid of me because I was volatile. I had a temper. I was angry all the time. I had no peace. I had no joy in my life,” Gaetano expressively stated. “I had nothing good, but on the outside, it looked like I had everything, and it just weighs, it weighs…and it got too heavy to bear.”

This would lead to a night cry that God was patiently waiting for all this time. It was a divine moment set by God for Gaetano to witness the Triumphant Power of Jesus shatter every stronghold in his life. It was the heavenly hour when Gaetano opened his heart’s door for the Delivering King of Glory to come in and change his life forever!

The Appointed Night of Salvation

One night in 2013, after Gaetano had enough of the never-ending cycle of prison, violence, betrayal, & utter emptiness inside, he cried out to Jesus in an act of utter desperation. He felt the Angel of Death hovering over him and knew his time was short. In reality, this was God’s plan. It was the appointed time, and the scheduled night to reveal Himself to Gaetano. God just needed true surrender…and a broken heart, which was clearly existent this particular night.

“I was at my lowest point, and I cried out to the Lord. I asked Jesus if He was real, I said, ‘I need you. I need to know that you’re real. Everybody talks about this Jesus, that you’re God.’ I said, ‘I know. I’ve been protected,’” as he passionately spoke that night to God.

After he called on the Name of Jesus…an amazing shift happened! Jesus, the True Name of above all names, was the Name that changed the game in his life. The next thing that happened was an absolute miracle! The God of The Universe answered the desperate cry from a dirty sinner that deserved the Lake of Fire long ago.

Instead of meeting Jesus as Judge, Gaetano met his Best Friend that knew him all his life, and even protected him through his life of utter wickedness!

“I woke up after nights where I had no business waking up… dealing with overdosing, that kind of work…the demonic becomes so second nature,” said Gaetano as he reflected on God’s protection during the many near-death experiences.

“And when I cried out to the Lord and He showed up, I can’t even explain that feeling, the peace that I felt, the acceptance, the love I just I was a complete mess, and I had repented, and I meant it, I meant it, and I told the Lord.”

After a night of feeling the love, peace, acceptance, and forgiveness of God…a vow to serve this amazing God for the rest of his life was made. This night marked his spiritual point of complete change, causing him to exit from the darkness of death and an enter into God’s marvelous light. The natural manifestation of this phenomenal encounter with God took place during the transition of night to morning. As the sun arose, a new creature was born…a chosen vessel called by God.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).

The street “Mourning Dove Way” that he grew up on, was a prophetic message that came to pass. The Spirit of the Lord changed him from within, through the Powerful Name of Jesus, who is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE! Years of deliverance began; a heart of stone was turned into a heart of flesh and Gaetano answered the Call to Serve Jesus for the rest of his life. 

Now he is operating powerfully and unashamedly as an appointed servant of the Most High God through his ministry, Capo for Christ. He successfully operates in the Kingdom of God through digital discipleship, helping the homeless, helping the prisoners, and doing deliverance through the matchless Name of Jesus!

Prophet Gaetano’s life demonstrates that God can use anybody…no matter the background. There is no pit to deep that the Lord can’t pull you out of. No matter what we have done in life, if our heart is surrendered to Jesus Christ and if we desire a turnaround in our lives…He will come to our rescue. Can a man be changed in one day? The answer is yes…through the heart touched by Jesus Christ. The power of Jesus saves, heals, sets free, delivers, and makes all things new! To God be the Glory!

“Unity among the Nations is of the Uttermost Importance! It’s about Kingdom not Religion and we as Ambassador’s for the Kingdom of Heaven need to be linked with each other to advance God’s Kingdom! The Children of Darkness have no problem banding together to further the wicked desires of the Adversary. For far too long Children of God have been sadly Bad Stewards. Well, God is Rising up a Standard! A Remnant of Special Forces, Warriors for the Kingdom of God, that don’t look like the generations of the past! There’s no time nor room for ego, only God’s Kingdom! I’m beyond Humbled and Honored to be a part of this Movement that will usher the Fulfillment of Haggai 2:9- The Latter Reign is Here, Selah.”
